Wet food for cats

Wet food versus dry food for cats

As the name suggests, wet food for cats contains a lot of moisture. The moisture content of wet food ranges between 70% and 80%, which is much higher than in dry cat food, which is around 10%. Feeding canned cat food has several advantages, for example for cats with urinary tract problems or picky eaters.

Wet food for improved moisture intake

Due to the high moisture content, our canned cat food contributes to better moisture intake in cats. Cats naturally drink very little water. This is because the ancestors of our four-legged friends often lived in dry areas; the bodies of felines are built to lose as little moisture as possible. If you give your cat one to two cans of cat food daily, a large part of their moisture needs is already met through the food. The low moisture intake of cats has the disadvantage of increasing the risk of bladder stones. Bladder sludge or stones can form more quickly in very concentrated urine. So it is a good choice to supplement your cat’s diet with Caviar for Cats. This way, you minimize the chance of these physical discomforts.

Wet food is the best choice for picky cats

Cats are known to be picky when it comes to food. The taste and texture of the food are very important to these animals. Due to the artisanal preparation, Riverwood’s wet food has a delicious taste and the right texture for cats. Moreover, it has a strong aroma that will encourage your cat to eat more quickly. Cans of Caviar for Cats are the best choice in cat food for picky four-legged friends!

Only the best ingredients in our wet food for cats

That Riverwood Caviar for Cats is a real complementary treat for cats is evident from the fact that each can contains no less than 51% tuna fillet. Tuna fillet sourced from sustainable and controlled fisheries. The other types of fish used in the wet food, including salmon, sea bass, and gold mackerel, also come from sustainable and controlled fisheries. Moreover, no drift nets are used in the tuna catch. This contributes to the safety of dolphins. In addition to the fish being sourced from sustainable fisheries, Riverwood has also paid attention to sustainable packaging. We have deliberately chosen an aluminum can that is fully recyclable.
