Riverwood Taste Guarantee

When you make a purchase from Riverwood International, the statutory warranty applies (in accordance with Article 9 of the General Terms and Conditions). The statutory warranty means that a product must meet the reasonable expectations of the consumer. In addition to this statutory warranty, we also offer a unique taste guarantee on a large proportion of our products.

What does the taste guarantee entail?

Does your pet not like the food you ordered from us? Then send it back. The return costs (€7.95) are at your own expense. You will receive a refund for your purchase (minus the return shipping costs) in your bank account as soon as possible. This taste guarantee is ideal if you buy a new food from us, but when you get home, your pet doesn't like your choice of food.

What are the terms and conditions of the taste guarantee?

  • The taste guarantee applies to all varieties of Riverwood kibble. The taste guarantee only applies to 2 kg packages. 12 kg and 6 kg packages are excluded from the taste guarantee.
  • When you return a product to us, no more than 20% of the contents may have been used. Before returning a product to us, please contact our customer service department first. You can do this by email (info@riverwoodpetfood.com) or by telephone (073 – 522 0873). You will then receive a PostNL return label.
  • Once you have dropped off your parcel at a PostNL point, it is important that you keep the proof of shipment in a safe place. Do not throw away the shipping label until you receive confirmation that your return parcel has been received by us.
  • The costs for returning a product (€7.95) are at your own expense.
  • Once we have received your return package, we will check that the contents of the package are not less than 80% of the original contents. You will then receive a refund of the purchase price (minus the cost of returning the product) as soon as possible. In the case of a refund, the purchase price (minus any costs of returning the product) will be transferred to your bank account.
  • You may only use the taste guarantee once per account. If your dog or cat does not like the new food again, you cannot use the taste guarantee again.
  • Promotional products or products that were on sale due to a short best-before date are excluded from our taste guarantee.
  • If you wish to make use of our taste guarantee, you must contact us within 30 days of delivery. Have the 30 days after delivery expired? Then the taste guarantee will lapse.
